What do you call Pepsi or Coke?
I was just wondering what people call Pepsi or Coke, whether it is pop, cola, soda, Pepsi, Coke, or whatever you use.

I grew up in the midwest calling it pop. Until I was about 16 and I started calling it soda just to be different. Now that's all I use.
My husband was only stationed in the south for a few years, but he says Coke for any soda. Drives me nuts!

In the South of the USA everything is called "coke", whether it is actually a coca cola or not; it is still "coke".

in north east we call it soda pop sounds kinda gay or we just call it coke or pepsi
"Soda" is what I call it. I hate it when people say pop. Its usually fat people.

My older sisters called it tonic.........I call it soda.
Hi. Over here we call whatever it is by the actual name eg Pepsi, Coke, Coke Zero (my favourite!) Fanta, 7UP, Sprite, Gingerale, L& P etc etc - if we want the diet type we say Diet before which drink, little kids ask for a "Fizzy Drink" hoping they will get it hahaha. My Husband is from Michigan USA and he calls it Soda.
I travel regularly in over 35 major US markets and find Coke/Pepsi is most commonly referred to as "soda". In the Midwest I appease the locals by using "soda pop". In the South, "coke" refers generally to carbonated beverage drinks (i.e. "coke" is Coca-Cola, but "orange coke" is an orange drink like Fanta Orange.

When talking about carbonated beverages i call It by brand name, COKE DR. Pepper, Pepsi and so on then people know exactly what i mean

Here in Indiana most folks just call it Pepsi or Coke.
