Can black coffee be so fresh that it still tastes great without cream and sugar?!

Question:

Can black coffee be so fresh that it still tastes great without cream and sugar?

I have an interest about coffee. I drink coffee, but not black because it tastes bitter and quite unpleasant. I just curious if there's black coffee so fresh that still tastes great without the slight unpleasant bitter taste.

And do you like coffee? Just wondering.

Answers:
no, I think a bit of sugar helps it out

try grinding your own coffee, i like coffee, but i like tea better

man dont drink it!!! it will age ur face like heck. u dont want to look like the crypt keeper ....do u?

I only drink it black. It is an aquired taste but once you get it, you don't want it anyother way

i dont think so, black coffe will still taste awful. and i love coffee... iced and cold cofee in particular

You could try freeze dried...TastersChoice....not the greatest, quick and not so bad.

yes i like i coffee plane

I guess that makes me the minority-I like black coffee, fresh is best but anything under 3 hours is good by me. Guess I'm just weird. I like it strong, too.

like the smell but hate the taste

In this day and age it's possible to get very good coffee for an affordable price. And when fresh, it's entirely possible to enjoy it with out any added cream or sugar.

I adore coffee, and have always added cream and sugar but I'm trying to wean myself off of the extra stuff.

Coffee naturally has a bitter taste. Adding sugar and cream just help take that bitter taste out. Maybe try some of the flavored coffees if you want to drink it black.

I'm more of a tea drinker personally!

I usually drink coffee just to wake up. I've weaned myself off cream and sugar and use it only when I'm in a bad mood to pamper myself. That doesn't happen often.

Now and then, I'll get a cup of coffee somewhere that tastes amazing good black. I've never been able to make a cup of coffee that way. I like it strong as well. Good, Louisiana coffee. Community, of course.

for the freshest coffee possible.you grind it just before you are ready for a cup,no way out of the bitterness issue, the stronger it is the more bitter it will taste, milk & sugar help to make it less bitter ,black coffee is great say those who have developed a taste for it,like every thing else with time & determination one can acquire a tase.for this too.

i can only drink black coffee with sugar and even then its not really nice. maybe if you buy the beans fresh and grind them yourself you may experience the true taste of coffee. some coffee can taste so good.

I like black coffee w desserts and donuts and stuff. To drink by itself, I usually take H&H and Splenda.

I'd suggest you get a high-quality coffee, not dark roasted, but a light or maybe med. roast. Start off not as strong ashow you normally brew coffee. Maybe instead of 2 Tbsp. per cup, only put 1 Tbsp. or whatever measure you use.

If ti's bitter, it's over-roasted and that includes most of Starbucks' blends, IMO. Try a bag of Smooth from Kirspy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts smoothest variety. I'll bet you like your coffee black after that!

Some sugar is needed.

I only drink coffee black. Sweet coffee just tastes terrible to me. I think it's an aquired taste. Tho many people who are drinking it to wake up probably don't really enjoy the flavor. I do. I drink coffee for the taste not the energy. Maxwell House is my flavor o'choice :)
