What should I make with all my extra milk?!

Question:

What should I make with all my extra milk?

I have a lot of extra milk bags at home and I don't want them to rot, we are only two people who live here. Is there something I can make out of it?

You could make some potato soup or some chicken wild rice soup. They both have milk in them. You could make a bunch of it and then freeze it.

Pudding it takes 3 cups if you get the large box of instant

milk bags???? Are you tallking breast milk here?!

You can freeze it, but take into account the following
(at least it will be good for using in cooking afterwards, I do it.)
Homogenised milk can be frozen but there is usually a change in quality. The defrosted milk often has separated a little and can have a slightly grainy mouthfeel. Defrosted milk is probably best used in cooking but many people find it perfectly acceptable to use as a drink and on cereal, it is a question of personal taste.
The milk can be frozen in the plastic jugs but not necessarily un-opened. You can also freeze milk in aitight bags sprecially designed for storing frozen liquids. Ziploc is a good brand or u can use the ones sold in supermarkets for storing breast milk fo babies. Milk expands as it freezes and if there is not sufficient headspace in the jug, the expansion is likely to split the plastic. You need at least 1/2" headspace on a wide mouthed container and at least 1 1/2" headspace on a narrow mouthed container such as a milk jug. If there is not sufficient head space on your jugs you will need to remove some of the milk or transfer to suitable freezer containers remembering to allow for the expansion.
You should only freeze milk before the 'Best before' date. It should be used within 1 month of freezing and should be defrosted slowly in the refrigerator, this will take about 24 hours. The defrosted milk should be used within 2-3 days. It is advisable to give the milk a good shake or stir before use. Skimmed or semi-skimmed milk freezes slightly more successfully than whole milk.

potato soup uses alot of milk also a milk gravy (make a roux of butter and flour) then add milk make it a think consistency if its to thing mix a little flour and milk together and add to gravy. make sure to salt and pepper its very bland. Then brown some sausage and top over biscuits. Or add to chix fried steak or mashed potatoes. This gravy goes perfect with a fried chicken meal. Its my favorite i think its also called poor mans gravy. Also make up some pudding with milk.

but i suggest you try the milk gravy its all we ate growin up and its sooooooo good.
