Is it bad to drink home made egg not?

I love egg nog but do not like the store bought variety. I was told that eating raw eggs is bad for you. We have been doing this for years..just milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and a little salt. Blend. Yummo...is this a bad thing to do?

It is recommended that you not dring egg nog with raw eggs in because it is possible you can contract salmonella. The best alternative is to use egg substitute (like no yolks) that you can find in your dairy case at the grocery store.
