What are the state abbreviations on a soda bottle???!

Question:

What are the state abbreviations on a soda bottle???

yall know where on a soda bottle it has "For best taste drink by date on Bottle" right.... what's the states with 5 cents and 10 cents after it mean????

Answers:
It is the state's that allow you to return the bottles for change...(cash)....

Here in Michigan, you can get 10 cents back at a bottle return when you turn in empty bottles and cans.

that's the amount of the bottle deposit...

for instance, in new york, everytime you buy a bottle (or can) of soda, you pay a deposit of 5 cents in addition to the normal price.

when you return the bottle (or can) to a recycling location, you get your 5 cents back. 20 cans = 1 dollar.

it's an incentive to recycle the aluminum and plastics used in bottle making...

its the states that recycle them 4 u and give you money

It means that when you drink the soda, and bring it back to the place you brought it from, you can get however much money it says on the bottle, for what state you live in, thats how much money you get. Like in Michigan if you return it you get 10 cents! Woooooooo Hooooooooooooo!!

Which leads to the inevitability of people abusing the system. Yes, you can gather cans and bottles in another state to redeem them. No, it isn't legal. They occasionally catch people doing this because it takes garbage bags full in order to be worthwhile. But if you aren't greedy...

In some states you receive cash for turning in cans.
