Problems with Gevalia coffee maker, cm-500? Water drips down when opening lid.?!

Question:

Problems with Gevalia coffee maker, cm-500? Water drips down when opening lid.?

After brewing (3 hours or 1 day later) I will open the top lid to remove the filter. When doing so, condensation on the lid slides down, and goes behind the coffee maker. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions? I have just mailed Gevalia today, I will post their response.

Answers:
Rap the lid firmly but not to break it before you open it most of the moisture will drop off. you may need to give it a smack. If you want a permanent fix attach a food safe material to the inside in the center of the lid to allow the condensation to slide down.

If you don't get a response, go to planetfeedback.com and post your letter there. Make sure you share it with others. Planetfeedback is free and they will contact the company in your behalf.

Most pots that have a hinged lid do that. Just keep a paper towel handy.

i had the same problem , but i just dealt with it....

welll yes condensation does build during and after making your cuppa, mate it will happen if you fill a plastic bag with air and leave in the sun same as tying a bag to a tree branch and checking in a c ouple of days
