Something that i can drink all through the day and not have to worry about packing on the calories and fat

Ridgerunner's Blended Spinach Salad

1 cup pineapple
1 orange
1 pear
1 apple (or a couple carrots)
1/8 slice lemon with peel
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 large handful raw spinach (about 8 oz - yes, 1/2 lb!)

First blend the pineapple, orange, pear, apple, lemon and flaxseed to a nice fluid. Add the frozen blueberries and blend them in. Last, add the spinach and blend for 20-30 seconds until smooth. It looks horrible (purplish brown) but tastes delicious! (and you will be surprized how much it "compresses down" with blending - 1/2 lb compresses down to about 1 cup fluid).
I started off just adding spinach to the carrot citrus cocktail we all love, but gradually started adding more fruits. The secret is to have lots of sweet and fluidy fruits to overwhelm the subtle flavor of spinach. You CANNOT taste the spinach - I guarantee it!

Healthy Broccoli Smoothie

Ingredients
1 Carrot (chopped)
4 Florets of Broccoli
2 Handfuls of Spinach
1 Apple (chopped)
2 Oranges (peeled and quartered)
Orange Juice to dilute

You can change the fruit and vegetables to your requirements but this is one way of ensuring you get the portions of fruit and vegetables your body requires.

Superior Smoothie

・ 8 carrots
・ 1 small beet
・ 1/2 turnip
・ 1/2 parsnip
・ 3 celery stalks
・ 1 large apple
・ 1 large pear
・ 2 inches of Burdock root

Wash, peel and cut into sections where needed. Juice separately, combine and stir. Put into a blender with ice, add some honey if you’d like and blend until smooth.

Strawberry Oatmeal Vegan Smoothie

"This is a fast vegan smoothie with a deep pink color and a rich, creamy texture. VERY filling, and perfect for people in a rush in the morning. You don't have to give up a good breakfast when it's this fast to make! I use vitamin fortified soy milk."

INGREDIENTS
・1 cup soy milk
・1/2 cup rolled oats
・1 banana, broken into chunks
・14 frozen strawberries
・1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
・1 1/2 teaspoons white sugar

1.In a blender, combine soy milk, oats, banana and strawberries. Add vanilla and sugar if desired. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.

Honey Dew Grape Smoothie

Ingredients
2 cups (8 oz.) peeled and cubed honeydew melon or cataloupe
2 cups green or red seedless grapes
2/3 cup white grape juice, chilled
4 ice cubes

Directions
1. Puree honeydew melon, grapes, and white grape juice in blender on high speed. With machine running, add ice through feed tube one cube at a time, until mixture is thick and smooth. Puree in batches. Serve immediately. Makes 3 cups.

Of course, using fruit is required... and fruit is luckily fat-free. However, it is not calorie free.

I suggest using fat free yogurt with your fruit blend of choice to give it more substance so it is more filling. Yogurt is less sugary than using juices for the base and is good for your digestive system! (Plain yogurt has primarily lactose sugar, which is arguably better for you. And unless you live in an area where produce is cheap, or you use inexpensive fruits, it will cost less to make with yogurt too.)

If you don't like yogurt, use banana to give it some thickness. I personally like strawberries with mango and plain yogurt best, but most fruit combinations can be pretty tasty!

stick to fruits and yogurts. there's a tv show that suggested using frozen fruits or the yogurt in place of ice to maintain consistensy. you shave it as with ice but some blenders can handle such tasks pretty well

Skim milk, crushed ice, egg (protein), bananas, strawberries, and blend.

FRUIT SMOOTHIE

1 c fresh strawberries, sliced and hulled
20 ozs pineapple chunks in juice, drained
1 med banana, peeled and chopped
1 c skim milk
8 ozs fat-free strawberry yogurt
1/4 c honey
1 tsp lime juice

In a food processor or blender, combine strawberries, pineapple chunks, bananas, milk, yogurt, honey, and lime juice. Process until smooth. Pour into glasses.

6 servings; 166 Calories; less than one gram Fat (2% calories from fat); 4g Protein; 40g Carbohydrate; 1mg Cholesterol; 55mg Sodium

I juice fruit and veg together and drink this all day long. Its lovely. and always taste different.
