Why does the drink 'Rockstar' hurt my stomach?
I drank a rockstar this morning around 10 am, and since around 1pm my stomach has felt like it has a really sharp cramp. I don't plan on drinking it again, but does anyone know what is in it that could possibly be causing this? The pain is like a 3/10...not horrible, but still bothering me. I want to know so perhaps I can avoid this ingredient in the future. I am not a frequent user of energy drinks.

It's probably because of the amount of caffeine. You could also have had an existing stomach issue that was worsend by the drink (gastritis maybe).
Anybody's stomach would hurt if you drank it on an empty stomach but more than likely it was the amount of caffeine. Instead of drinking those things just eat a healthy diet and get plenty of good exercise. it's easier on your stomach that's for sure!
All of these energy drinks have tons of caffeeine and sugar. I would guess the pain is from the caffeeine. Some of the drinks add other ingredients, like taurine or something like that.
You may have a sensitive stomach and something in it was too strong.
I guess you just don't have what it takes to be a rockstar....
