Why shouldn't you use a paper cup to hold hot water, tea, or coffee?
I've used paper cups to hold hot tea and they seem to work fine. Is there a reason you shouldn't other than having a hot hand?
Answers:
Some paper cups have a wax lining to make them waterproof. Cold liquids are fine with these cups, but hot liquids melt the wax and cause nasty globs of it to float on your drink. Maybe you've been using unwaxed cups? Or maybe you just don't mind the floating wax taste?
Besides the wax melting into your beverage of choice, it gets hot to hold and not as sturdy of a hold.
They don't retain heat well, so your drink will get cold rather quickly. There is no other reason to avoid paper.
you mean the cone shaped? it would just be UNCOMFORTABLE! where can you let it rest while it becomes "drinkable" that it is not so hot?
tHEY MAKE THE CUPS SOGGY AFTER THE WAX INSIDE HAS GONE,,,sorry about font cant be bothered to change it
