Water tastes like soap?
Any idea what it means when city water tastes 'soapy'? I know that sounds incredibly rediculous but my daughter and I were both drinking tap water today and it tasted like it had soap in it. I know it's not the glasswear cuz after we tried several glasses from the cupboard, I took a couple out and washed them by hand and THOROUGHLY rinsed them.

something could be wrong with the plumbing. i guess you could ask your neighbors to see if they have the same water. if not, then it's probably something with your plumbing. if yes, then it's a city problem. have you tried buying one of those brita water filters?
is it cold where you are? sometimes the county adds different chemicals in the wintertime to keep the pipes from freezing which may change the taste that youre used to a bit.
The pipes, the water filtration and treatment, or your water nozzle could all be possible culprits.
i don't know why but i definitly know that it's true. everytime i get water at some fast food restaruants it tastes soapy. nasty.

I think sometimes, during the cold season companies put chemicals in the water so the pipes that carry th water to your home wouldn't freeze.... And the chemicals probably would change the taste of you water...... And I have had that experience but doesn't taste nasty???!
