What is this white stuff in the bottom of my cup?!

Question:

What is this white stuff in the bottom of my cup?

Every time I drink ice water, there's alway little floating white specks in the bottom of the glass...what the heck is it?

Answers:
Could be calcium or lime in the drinking water. Is it from the tap? Could it be something contained in the ice? Could it be coming from the glass? You can buy a distiller and distill the water (takes 5 hours for 1 gallon). You'd be amazed at what is left behind in the distiller once the water is distilled and in another container.

It's from the tap water that was used to make the ice. If you were to use brita water for your ice cubes you won't have it.

hard water chalk or calcium,it is not harmfull, good for the bones

Governmental attempts at mind control. Stop drinking the tap water!

well....if the ice is very frozen that mean it's dry ice ....it'll transform in something strange.Or if it is white that mean the water has limestone.

maybe its from the ice. (tap water)
