Why don't they make soda in glass bottles anymore?!

Question:

Why don't they make soda in glass bottles anymore?

Answers:
There are still a few around, however they are not sold in the massive quantities that the major soda sell. In addition to cost of producing the glass bottles being a major concern, the weight that the glass adds is also a consequence. less weight, cheaper to transport

too expensive

Plastic is probably cheaper and safer.

Because its more expensive to produce and ship. Also, little kids can drop them/break them and hurt themsleves/use them as weapons

Because little immature morons like to smash the bottles on the streets and sidewalks.

plastic is cheaper than glass

I rekon it tastes better in glass bottles

They do! You just have to look for them. Pay a deposit. Return the bottles. etc. Just use plastic and recycle.

idk, thats weird cause i went to this one place and the had coke a cola in a glass bottle and i drank some

They still make sodas in glass bottles. Check the grocery store.

Cheaper to use aluminum... You can still find coke and dr pepper in the bottles, but they are way more expensive and most time you have to pay for shipping... My Sam's Club sells the Coke bottles made with cane syurp..

Good Luck!

Now plastic is cheaper. When they used glass bottles they just washed and refilled the bottles, they didnt even melt down and remake the bottles like they do now. Plus plastic is safer than glass.

I know coco-cola still makes them they only come in six packs and the bottles arent as big as they used to be. Plastic is cheaper to process, ship, and easier handling. It is also cheaper to recycle as well. America is running out of money and resourses and is looking for the cheap easy way out!...lol

we have them in louisiana & they taste the best !!

Cost too much to make compared to plastic, more fragile, cost more to ship.
