Bottled water???!

Question:

Bottled water???

if you buy bottled water that has been in the mountains for hundreds of years.... why has it got a sell buy date on it???

Answers:
You've got a good point there !

Water shouldnt be kept in plastic bottles for too long, molecules from the bottle eventually get into the water.

Good question. I thought that when I was watching The Comedy Map of Great Britain last night.

becomes stagnant and the potential for germs inside the bottle.

LOL...I have no idea & until now I never thought of it...good question.

Water cant sit still. It goes stagnant. It hasn't been sitting in the mountains. It's rained and flowed down streams and rivers.

While it is in the mountains it is running freely and stays fresh. Once it has been bottled the natural constant filtering has been stopped so it can probably go stagnant!

Tjhe water in the mountains wasn't just "sitting there". Still water grows bacteria. Spring water is constantly moving.

But the "sell by" date is a mandatory thing by the government food agencies like the FDA. However, many people store bottles of water for emergencies for long periods of time with no worries.

naaaaaaaaaaaah don't drink it you don't know what kinda email did its business in there don't drink it

Again, underlying assumption problem.

First, your're assuming it's been "in the mountains" for hundreds of years. Actually it's probably been going through the water cycle for all those years.......rain, seepage into the ground water, possible evaporation, back into the atmosphere, etc.

Or, it is possible that it has been trapped in a natural underground aquafer.

BUT, the point is, there is a difference between water being "held" in nature and being held in a plastic bottle, don't ya think????

don't drink it

I think the companies are just playing with our minds!!

because its been puifed for us to drink its not litrally straight from the mountians into the bottle for us to drink or there would be bits of dead stuff in it!

Look at the labels of all the bottle water. It will tell you how they are process. Most of the mountain water will be filter some what again to kill the bacteria. Beside the plasti bottle will play a part depends how they are made with. The best bottle that is use for bottle water deliver is PVC bottles, not from china or mexico. The bottles will be almost clear but a little blue. Very blue are bad bottles. Pluse do you think the FDA will be taking the risk to tell you it will last forever nothing is that long. It also depends how you store it. If you put it under the sun light it will go bad fast. I own a water bottle plant and a filter water company.
