When does roll up the rim to win start at Tim Hortons?!

Question:

When does roll up the rim to win start at Tim Hortons?

Answers:
I was just trying to figure this out myself when I found your question on Google. In the past, the contest was held in Spring and the Fall. I know because my father won the camping package two Falls ago.
There was no contest this past Fall which made me wonder if the contest has been discontinued or on hiatus.
Last Spring there was a lot of controversy surrounding the contest. For instance a 12 year-old school girl found a discarded cup in her school's trash that had not been rolled up. She had trouble rolling it up so she enlisted the help of another friend. When they opened the rim, they discovered they had won a car. The girls were so excited. They planned to get the car and have their parents split custody of it bi-weekly. They planned a road trip to Disney World that they would take with their parents in the car. But this never happened. Instead the parents of the girl who found the cup offered $5,000 to the parents of the girl who helped roll up the rim. The parents refused the offer and wanted 50 per cent of the proceeds from the sale of the car.
In the meantime, a teacher at the school claimed it was his cup that was found and wanted the prize for himself. The case is now in litigation and there is even talk to DNA being taken from the discarded cup. It's a legal fact that something thrown in the trash is public domain but it will be interesting to see what happens. The saddest part is that two young girls with big dreams have lost a friendship on account of the greed displayed by the adults around them. And what does this teach these kids?
This greed has ruined the integrity of the contest for all Canadians, especially if Timmy's refuses to run it again.
At the end of the day, can you blame them?

Last year, the contest began the last day of February.

around the summer times ..
