What would happen if you consume Diet Pepsi and Mentos?!

Question:

What would happen if you consume Diet Pepsi and Mentos?

I have gone around watching videos of the diet pepsi and mentos thingy and im amazed. i would spend money just to do this in my backyard. but i was wondering what would happen if someone was to consume diet pepsi and mentos? I know that you might not be able to down a whole 2liter and a pack a mentos but what if your just drinking some diet pepsi, swallow a mentos, how would the two react? would it be a very minor explosion or could it do some harm?

Answers:
If you consumed enough of both to cause the frothing you see in the videos, it would cause you to puke. It's not like your stomach is sealed. When it has too much pressure or something it can't handle, it spews it out to prevent damage.

Nothing really bad happens, it just fizzes a lot

YOU'D BLOW UP! jk your stomach would hurt though

it wouldn't do anything. you'd b e fine

gas and good breath

Vomit

You would belch a lot.

oh i did that when i was six...... stupid ole six lol but it fizzes a LOT and some times the fizz comes out of your mouth i love to watch videos too of diet coke ane mentos it just amazes me!

They did this on an episode of Mythbusters. First they tried mixing different kinds of liquids in a bottle with Mentos, to see which ingredients caused the "explosion". Then one of the hosts drank some Pepsi and ate a Mento. Nothing special happened, but the Pepsi fizzed when he put the Mento in his mouth. You can see a description of the episode here: http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/mythbu...

you will blow up LOL
just kidding you will get sick
