Which one has more carbonation? Pepsi or coke?!

Question:

Which one has more carbonation? Pepsi or coke?

Okay okay.. more ppl might say they like coke or pepsi.. but thats not my question..

I wanna know which one has more carbonation... and if its pepsi/coke.... how can we prove it? and where can we get information and proof?

This is for a 6th graders science project... THANKYOU!! =))

Answers:
i think it's pepsi, but as a "scientist", your sixth grader/s can't go by bias opinions.

try this:

get to cups, pour 8 ounces of coke in one cup and 8 ounces of pepsi in the other.
put five raisins in each one.
once the bubbles totally dissapear out of the coke/pepsi, the raisins will start to spin
record which raisins start to spin last.
that is the beverage with the less carbonation, the experiment is fun and takes patience.
be sure to try the experiment a total of ten times and record data each time.it may help to take pictures for the display board, about a week ago,we had our ninth grade honors science fair, and we had to take and decorate the board with pictures.
you can also compare the ingredients in each soda, and if they are the same, try this:

get two glad plastic microwave bowls, put a raw t-bone steak in each bowl, poor 2 cups of pepsi in one bowl and 2 cups of coke in the other, which ever one eats through the steak first, has the most carbonation. BE SURE THAT THE INGREDIENT IN BOTH SODAS ARE THE SAME.

good luck i hope your sixth grader/s win!

mmmmeeeee!

I say Coke has more carbonation because my burps are louder when I drink it.

coke has more.

u can read the tips and the formation of the bottle !!!

good luck !!!!

All my life I've always felt that Pepsi had more fizz. This could get messy, but I think you could experiment with a tight plastic bag sealed over a can of each drink. Get all the air out of the bag, then seal it over the can, open the zip top (without tearing the bag) and shake like crazy. The CO2 will inflate each bag to a certain volume. If you wanted to, you could find equipment to quantify the exact volume in milliliters, but I think that would take too much fun out of the project.

OK the way i think that u can tell the diff is if u use the same cups same size pour the sodas in at the same time
(if you use a measuring cup, pour in 1 cup both Pepsi and coke, it has to be EXACTLY 1 cup!) once done that look at them both see which one rises to the top ( the highest)
OR
there is a calling # on the nutrition fact side of the can. call them both and tell them u need to know how much carbn is im the cans!
