Which additives are present in most tap water?!

Question:

Which additives are present in most tap water?

Why are they added, what effects do they have on our health, and is boiling tap water enough to get rid of all bad bacteria and additives? How effective are water filters?

Answers:
chorine was the old stander but now the all city is moving toward choride in the water to kill off bactoria. check with the city and they will tell you. Forlida i think they are not using it in some city now. You need to get a 5 stage R.O system to get a good clean water taste. Use a 5 micron sediment and 5 micron carbon blocks. and use a Dow or GE membrain at 36gpd or 50 gpd. and a Omnipure T-33 filter or T-40 for a sweet taste.Boiling water is getting ride of the chorine smell, but your coffee or tea pot will have minorls built up at the bottom. But if you use a r.o system it wont have that anymore. I own a bottle water company and a filter company too.

I do know of one additive.......flouride.....to help with your teeth
Don't worry about boiling water...........no matter what you're going to do, you're going to be exposed to bacteria. Bacteria is even in the air.... Water filters are effective....but if you really want a good filter......just remember....you get what you pay for. The better filters will cost extra. Best of luck to you.

Flouride- but the amount that is added to your flouridated tap water is good for you and your teeth.

Chlorine-I think they just add this to kill germs, but not enough to hurt us...
