sugar is hard on the teeth and waist line. caffein late in the impedes sleep. it costs money over water, which is so much better for you.
it rots your teeth, gives you wind and saps your energy if its got caffiene in, is also addictive!
Too much sugar, high in calories, no nutrition value whatsoever. Expensive.
Too much carbonation will give you gas, the carbonation keeps you heavier, cut out the pop and see how much weight you lose

Urinary tract infections and possible kidney stones.
the phosphoric acid in it supposedly softens your bones and teeth.
mmmmm.....soft bones....grrrrr!
makes you gain weight and is bad for your teeth.
All soft drinks are LOADED with high fructose corn syrup, which is the father of all dietary evil. HFCS raises your triglycerides and your "bad" cholesterol while lowering your "good" cholesterol for starters, and since HFCS isn't metabolized like sugar you can eat or drink a TON of it before you felt full -- you'd probably feel sick first. So the bad effects are: (1) it promotes heart disease, (2) it promotes adult-onset diabetes, and (3) it promotes weight gain -- recent studies show drinking ONE CAN of Coke per day can cause you to gain 15 pounds in a year.
Music? or.....Soda?

I know it's bad for your teeth...
Well for diet soda, you can and most will get aspartame poisoning.... Atrificial Sweeteners are also another problem aside from being in diet sodas.....
I actually discovered that I had a huge amount of these issues.. I drank Diet Coke for 8 years, and was always sick or in pain and could never figure it out.. I finally did and stopped drinking it and using the other sweeteners about 8 months ago, and all but a few of my symptoms have gone away.. there is actually a huge study being done, because numerous deaths have been reported due to the effects of it.... Look it up on the internet.. it is everywhere and a lot of people are clueless to it...
Toxicity Effects of Aspartame Use
Selection of adverse effects from short-term and/or long-Term use
Note: It often takes at least sixty days without *any* aspartame or nutrasweet to see a significant improvement. Improvement in health is also often accompanied by weight loss. Check all labels very carefully (including vitamins and pharmaceuticals). Look for the word "aspartame" on the label and avoid it. (Also, it is a good idea to avoid "acesulfame-k" or "sunette.") Finally, avoid getting nutrition information from junk food industry PR organizations such as IFIC or organizations that accept large sums of money from the junk and chemical food industry such as the American Dietetic Association.
