Recipe for Storm's Fruit Breezers, the ultimate author's treat.
(Serves 6)
Ingredients:
2 cups grapefruit juice
4 cups pomegranate soda
Whipped cream
Directions: Mix the grapefruit and pomegranate juices together. Pour into six glasses. Freeze for 1-2 hours, checking periodically. The breezers are properly frozen when they are thick and full of ice crystals. They will have the consistency of an Icee or Slush Puppie drink. Add a swirl of whipped cream to the top of each glass, and enjoy!
Variation: If desired fresh squeezed grapefruit juice can be used, but stir in 1 tablespoon of superfine sugar into the mixture until dissolved before freezing.

Not particularly...but then, I'm not a big fan of grapefruits. That..and I've never heard of pomegranate soda.
I think it would sound better without the whip cream. Citrus and cream just doesn't seem to go together.

sure doesn't sound good to me. But it might not be bad. I am usually willing to try most things. I don't know about this one. Have you tried it? If you have, how about letting all of us know how you liked it?
not big fan of grapefruits or pomegranate but I love whipped cream! Sounds good though.
Except for the whipped cream. But then I like grapefruit juice, long as it's not the white kind and I know pmpegranate juice is strong. Is the soda strong, too? Maybe I'll try the recipe some time.
