What are the 23 flavors that are in Dr. Pepper?!

Question:

What are the 23 flavors that are in Dr. Pepper?

Answers:
Yes, I've heard the "23 fruit flavors" of Dr. Pepper [sic] for years. I can tell you this is nonsense! I can't reveal the source (he'd get fired), but here is a list of some of the real flavoring ingredients:

Vanillin (imitation vanilla)
Extract of almond
denatured rum (no joke)
Oil of orange
lactic acid (optional; once listed separately from "flavorings")

There are 23 flavors???... I'd heard that it was just carbonated prune juice... that could be an urban legend tho...

Why?....is it really that important?
.....I suppose you also contemplate the 11 different herbs and spices in KFC ?

.....ya, lets put these great mind-boggling questions right up there with global warming, aids, poverty, and over population.

drink a can of it and find out

A partial list of these flavors can be seen at the bottling plant in Dublin, Texas; although the formula itself (with its twenty-three ingredients) is a closely-guarded secret. Contrary to a popular urban legend, Dr Pepper does not and never has contained prune juice.

Carbonated Water, sugar and/or corn sweetener, caramel color, artificial and natural flavoring, phosphoric acid, sodium benzoate (preservative), caffeine, monosodium phosphate, lactic acid and polyethylene glycol.

That is just the basics, you will never know the 23 ingredients beacuse it is a secret that the company keeps locked up in a vault and only one or two people know it at one time.
