How do you milk a cow?!

Question:

How do you milk a cow?

Answers:
Milk at the same time daily.
Sit on the same side of the cow each day. This will help your cow feel more comfortable - cows like routine.
Place cow in a stanchion if this makes you feel more at ease. If your cow is an old hand at being milked, this probably won't be necessary. Ask the farmer you purchased her from what her routine was with the farmer.
Place stool at a right angle to the cow and sit with your head resting on her flank.
Wash udder with warm water and clean cloth. Place pail under teats.
Take a teat into the palm of your hand.
Squeeze teat at top with thumb and forefinger. Continue squeezing each finger around teat, forcing milk in a stream until all fingers are around teat.
Release teat.
Repeat until only a small amount of milk comes out and the udder is soft to the touch.

Well, this is a weird question. You really don't know? Where are you from?

squeeze one or two utter and pull down at the same time. Pull one utter after an utter.

very carefully
cows have been known to kick

I grew up on a dairy and my grandpa had machines that he attached to the cows teats....he did not do it by hand unless the bag was infected....then the milk was thrown away.

Don't think you can get a better answer than that given by cister, all precautions must be diligently observed, soon enough both you & the cow will set into a comfortable routine, the method to avoid at all costs is a tight aqueeze of the teat all in one go with a pull of the teat in a downward direction,it should be done as described starting with thumd & forefinger followed in sequence with each finger till the teat is grasped by all the fingers, then they are released simultaneously & process is repeated till the udder feels almost empty & hardly much milk can be got out.
