Since I was born and have repeatedly lived in Illinois, and it is currently 11pm there as I answer this question. If I were you, I would climb up ontop of the nearest truck, tractor, barn or house... even telephone poll. Once there look in all directions. I would be loking for the greatest number of lights. Hopefully that will be a town with aconvience store. Be careful though, depending on which part of the state you live in, it could be a prison. Either way there is bound to be a vending machine there.
P.S. Please limited your travel to roads and well worn paths. It is not wise to venture into corn fields at night. You never know what aliens or other unworldlything you might encounter!
