Jamba Juice Smoothie Every Day?!

Question:

Jamba Juice Smoothie Every Day?

Because I've been unable to conquer my cravings, I've been going to Jamba Juice almost every day to get a Strawberry Nirvana Smoothie, which is one of the new "Enlightened" Smoothies with 1/3 fewer calories and sugar. The Strawberry Nirvana Smoothie has 150 calories and 27 grams of sugar. I work out every day, but I'm still curious as to whether or not it's bad for me to be having this smoothie as often as I have been. Any thoughts?

Answers:
at 150 calories...as long as you aren't gaining weight, I don't think it is horrible. Treat it as a couple of servings of fruit.

Ick - those Jamba smoothies aren't very good b/c the strawberry harvest wasn't a very good one this year.

It's not bad for you to have a smoothie every day. Which boost are you getting?

Sounds like ure addicted!!! Based on the calories and sugar content, it honestly doesnt sound bad at all. I wish there was a Jamba Juice here....lol

I have had thier juice and it is veryy good! I think just keep excercising every day and you will be fine. Maybe if they have another drink with less calories that you like you can have that instead. HOPE THAT HELPS!

I had the pleasure of imbibing several Jambas while vacationing in sunny L.A.. I read their nutritional materials front to back, and let me say, there's NO WAY it's bad for you. So much better for you than soda. Good for you. I wish I could have two a day!

The Enlightened Smoothies DO NOT have a lot of sugar. Absolutely not.

my friend used to work at jamba and she told me that there is SO much sugar and such in them. i wouldnt worry about it too much if your working out...but i sugest you dont stop working out.

well as my bro (the health nut) would say...
jamba juice has too much sugar

but as i would say
dont worry be happy

dont worry
your probibly healthier than all of us right now...

i would say it is bad for your teeth more than anything eles if u go to the gym as well

be careful, if you are adding 150 calories on top of how many calories you burn you could be gaining weight. you won't notice it right away, since 150 calories a day will add up to about 1/5 of a pound per week. (this is because to gain a pound you have to eat an extra 5000 calories)

if you're working out everyday you're probably fine, but if you're trying to lose weight i would cut down on the smoothies and have
them as a treat. if you must have them, drink a large one as a meal replacement.

jamba juice is also a little bit expensive if you're buying one everyday. try making a smoothie at home, it's so easy and you won't have that added sugar.

Strawberry Smoothie:

fill a blender with frozen strawberries (you can get a huge cheap bag from costco)

add a sweetener (splenda is great, and has no calories. honey is also a good natural pick)

add about 1/2 cup of plain yogurt

blend it all the way through

enjoy!

I like Jamba Juice but they really aren't as healthy as you would like to think. Too much of anything is pretty much bad. I don't think it is a good idea to have that every day. Maybe once or twice a week but not every day.

yum. good call.
they're GREAT for you.
the thing about the strawberry harvest is so not true.
I know several friends who work there and I get smoothies from them all the time. the fruit quiality is excellent as always and it's a great, healthy meal replacement or snack.

keep up the good work.
get boosts, too. =)

Here is the nutrition label for the original Strawberry Nirvana Smoothie. Although this smoothie contains alot of sugar, it also has several healthy benefits such as calcium, potassium, and protein. Seems to me that your addiction is a healthy one.
