WIC is financial aid for the CHILD, not the mom. If the dad has custody of the child and is within the income guidelines, he should be able to get WIC also. If you tried and were denied, but know you fit the criteria, just ask them if they heard of DISCRIMINATION--they hate that!
Men can get WIC,my neighbor does.He's a single father of two young boys w/ a dead beat mother!!
WIC is for the baby and pregnant mother.
You call it wic. Men don't get pregnant so there is no need for wic before the baby is delivered.
You may be able to still use WIC services but the name isn't going to change.

As long as you have children under age 5 you can get WIC...the benefits will be for them though...
Even for men it's still called "Wic". Wic is for the children only for milk & cereal & juice. Some men do get Wic for their children.
