Why does water taste funny after it's been sitting in a glass overnight?
For instance, I drank from a bottled water I was drinking yesterday and it tastes... different. Old. What have you. What makes it taste funny the next day? The plastic? Dust? Bacteria?
Answers:
Most water, even 'bottled water' has 'minerals' in it ... at night, it it's left in a glass it starts to 'evaporate' and there are 'more minerals' in that 'less water' than there were the night before when it was 'more water' ... the 'mineral taste' increases because the percentage of minerals is higher ...
roaches pooping in it
It's cold by then, plus it's collected dust
The air
It becomes stale- the oxygen has escaped throughout the night.
oxidation, dust. Water can go stale just like anything else that has been left out.
The oxygen content is less. It's the same thing that happens when you boil water.
The chlorine and the oxygen go out of it.
maybe it is just that a good night's sleep makes you see things in a more humorous way in the morning.
ewwww. dust ....... dead skin cells
