Tastewise, I love it. Unfortunately, I'm starting to worry what kind of things im drinking. For instance, I didn't know that McDonald's strawberry milkshake have so many chemicals and .. THINGS>.<>><<./. Does Kern's Nectar put bad things into their products?

What is "Nectar"?
Nectar is a juice drink that starts with whole fruit and juice, with other natural ingredients* added. Nectars are typically thicker than other juices and drinks, because they are made from fruit purees.

2. Do Kern's Nectars contain any preservatives?
No, Kern's Nectars are preservative free.

3. Are Kern's Nectars pasteurized?
Yes, all our nectars are pasteurized. This means that they pass through a heating process that destroys any harmful micro-organisms.

4. What is the recommended shelf life?
All our cans and cartons contain a "best before" date. You should consume any unopened products prior to that date, for the best quality and freshness. We do not recommend the use of the product after the "best before" date.

5. What is the recommended shelf life after it is opened?
Always refrigerate our products after opening. If stored properly, the shelf life of the open product is 3-5 days. We do not recommend freezing our products.

6. What is the Kern's bird's name and what kind of bird is it?
Our bird is named "Pico." Pico is a hummingbird. Hummingbirds consume nearly half their weight in nectar daily.

No, Kern's Nectars are not certified as Kosher.
