Does water have salt in it?!

Question:

Does water have salt in it?

like when you drink it does it have salt in it, even though you didn't put any in it

Answers:
no I dont believe so.

Depends on where you get it but bottled water generally doesn't

nope. most water is free of that, i believe. unless your drinking ocean water..............which i thoroughly hope you arent.

Yes, but in trace amounts.

Yes, some water wells in US produce water with a salt content. That is why one uses those RO units under the sink. Its a Reverse Osmosis memebrane that allows only water molecules thru and stops salt+water molecule from passing due to size. So that filters out the salt.

And a second source, sometimes not recognized, is an ordinary home WATER SOFTNER. That is a process in which the calcium in the water is exchanged for the sodium ion and that sodium or salt goes into the regular house water supply. So if you have hypertension and salt affects you, then you need a line that is "ahead" of the water softner and supplies your drinking water.

the ocean does!

a lot of times water will have salt in it, because it can have salt dissolve in it
purifiers can most of the time get the salt out though
that is just for fresh water, because i assume that you are referring to drinking water
salt water does have salt in it, by the way

It depends what kind of water your talking about. Drinking water or ocean water. Ocean water: Yes. Drinking water: I believe not.

some bottled water does

No.. unless the salt is added to it
You get salt water depending on the salt content of the soil

Tap water does

it has salt in it if you put salt in it!!!!
