Water can harm you if you drink too much, it overwhelms the kidneys and there is a medical name for it, water intoxication.
Anyway, in the news there was just a radio contest called "Hold your Wii for a Wii." The contestants had to drink water constantly and could not go the bathroom and one woman died. The station is in big trouble.
