Does root beer have caffeine in it?!

Question:

Does root beer have caffeine in it?

Answers:
No. The popular major brands do not.

no , well at least bargs and a&w and mug do not

Depends on the brand. I believe that Barqs does and that A&W and Mugs do not. If you look on the label, they will say "Does Not Contain caffeine". Same thing with fruit flavors like lemon/lime, grape, orange, etc.

Nope, not a bit.

The popular brands of course wouldn't have it but the others, yeah!

Some does. But not major ones. You can read the ingredients on the can or the nutrition facts.

Barq's does. Most other brands (A&W, Dad's, Mug, etc.) do not. When in doubt read the nutrition information on the back.

no

No it doesn't.
I use to drink this all the time when I was pg so i didn't have to give up the caffeine in my coffee.

root beer generally does not have caffeine in it
however barq's does, thats what gives it the "bite"
(however barq's produced in utah and all diet barqs do not have caffeine in them)

It depends on what brand you get, i think the stuff at the grocery store is loaded with it, if there is a heath food store near your home go and get some

Here is atip for the future: all black or brown sodas are classified as colas, and have caffeine in them. However, root beer is an exception to the rule. The only root beer that follows this rule is Barqs, which is loaded with caffeine.

P.S.: to save you trouble all clear or colored sodas are caffeine free

Some do and some don't. You'll need to read the label.
