Does anyone know how to give up coffee drinking?
I'm already addicted to coffee drinking,i'm not usually a coffee drinker but the winter weather makes me drink 2-3cups/day and i hate being trap with this addiction....how will i fight the urged to make another cup of coffee????
Answers:
why eliminate it? just reduce the amount you drink and try decaf.
Drink water as soon as you wake and all through the day. Be forewarned, you'll probably get a head ache after the first day or two from withdrawal of caffeine.
Slightly different situation, but i used to down 4 liters of mtdew a day.
I learned its not just the caffiene, but the sugar that gets the hunger going.
Anyways, water actually wakes you up too. If you aren't properly hydrated you are more tired than you should be. And the caffeine dehydrates you.
So this is what i did to kick my habit. I went cold turkey and the first 24 hours i was fine. IT was the next day taht killed me....my first migrane ever (atleast what i assume them to feel like)...regardless, i've been doing martial arts for years and never felt that sort of pain before.
I went to the store and got 1 liter of mtdew and then sipped it slowly until the headache left. Everytime the headache started to come back i just took a few more swigs......Drank a ton of water too.
The next day i had no withdrawal symptoms at all.
Now a can of mtdew and i'm up the entire night.
I know what you mean for the cold months, but first thing i do in the morning now is drink 1 ice cold glass of water. That reallly wakes you up, then a nice warm shower.
ANothing that may help with the coffee urge is put in the sweetener you hate the most. Then you get coffee associated witha bad taste.
Start by doing a half caff, and wean yourself down to decaf.
Starbucks has fantastic decaf.
I'm down to one a day.
Try apple juice to get you going in the morning.
If it's a hot liquid you desire switch to hot tea, many varieties including decaf.
Why stop??? lol
I love coffee. i drink it on the summer and winter. 2-3 cups a day isn't that much.
I drink about 5-6 cups a day if not more.
Depends on my day.
