Green Tea!!?!

Question:

Green Tea!!?

Can green tea still have the same effect of burning calories if i drink it cold?

Answers:
Green tea has the same effects hot or cold. I don't know that it will actually burn calories though. The anti-oxidants are good for you so I wouldn't discourage you from drinking it.

i think so.........

Only if your jogging while drinking it.

it has the same effect whether cold or hot!

I heard it has the same effects, but then again why would it say on the box "Drink while still hot" right? So I'm guessing the reason to drink it while its hot is that it will cut through the fat in our systems, but if cold will do the same thing, just not as effective. Well, that's my thinking.

Definitely try to drink it hot. Here is why.

Green tea contains catechins and theanine that reduce caffeine activity. Brewing green tea allows these molecules to combine with caffeine in hot water, rendering the caffeine less effective.

Leave freshly brewed tea for a while and you'll notice that its colour darkens and its fragrance fades. This is because tea compounds become oxidised a few hours after brewing - so drink while it is hot.

Nutrients like polyphenols, theanine, vitamin C and B diminish over time.

Tea contains amino acids. Leave it even longer and bacteria starts to breed.

In Asia, folk wisdom dictates that one should never drink tea that has been left overnight.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, cold tea is "damp" and gathers phlegm.

Also, stay away from those iced instant green tea.

A 2007 report published by the US Department of Agriculture compares nearly 400 foods for their flavonoids content.

Disappointingly, instant green tea has only 12 milligrams, a fraction of the other green tea beverages.
