Tea in kettle?!

Question:

Tea in kettle?

hello, I love drinking tea everyday. and I always make my tea in a kettle, and then I leave the rest for later in the day, is it bad to drink the same tea twice? Or should i make a new fresh one? What if I drink the same tea the next day?

Answers:
making the tea in a teapot rather than a kettle would be a better idea. just use the kettle for boiling the water

drinking that later is no problem.
do you drink the tea cold? if not and you reheat, it would make more sense to make tea fresh each time. i think it tastes better fresh - but that is my own choice

or use a thermal flask to keep it warm

if you leave the tea black (no sugar or milk etc) then drinking the next day wont make you sick

i love tea also. I don't make my tea in a kettle but in individual cups when drinking hot tea, but if I were to make tea in a kettle, I would put a 24 hour expiration date on it. I think what you are doing is fine..One question: do you reheat the tea? I personally would not but maybe put in on ice for some iced tea.

When I make iced tea, I usually make a quart of it. I would usually drink it within a 24 hour period. I would toss it if there was still tea left after 2-3 days. great question though!

What is your tea kettle made of??? you need to check this out with somebody who knows chemistry.. the action of tannic acid on whatever your kettle is made of. I drink tea all day and I have gotten past the tea kettle by finding the most tasty instant tea and making it in a huge cup big as a soup bowl.. and yes I reheat it. while it sits beside me as I sip it, I cover it with a clean saucer so nothing goes for a swim. can I whisper Nestea instant tea in your ear? Tea drinkers that have come to my house say they love my hot tea and that my iced tea is the best!! I don't buy it with lemon.. any tea that needs lemon deserves a fresh lemon.. and no milk either so I do love the natural tea flavor.. Good luck with that kettle! :)

I make my tea in a thermal carafe, then remove the bags once it is finished steeping. It stays hot for the better part of a day. In the evening if I have any left, I put it in a container in the fridge for iced tea the next day. Then wash the carafe for a fresh pot the next morning.

that would be ok

I do use my tea leaves the next day for brewing, but only the next day. all teas can be infused several times.

but keep in a metal kettle i dont think it is good. i used this smart teapot from teacuppa. i love using it. i have 3 sizes so far.

it is extremely convinient to use them
