Is a french press coffee maker unhealthy?!

Question:

Is a french press coffee maker unhealthy?

Answers:
No. Actually itis probably better for you than those drip machines that use the paper filters. (Since those paper filters are bleached to get them nice and white. I hate thinkig about the extra chemicals that come in from that process.)

(And yes, I do know there are unbleached paper filters out there, which is a good step if you're making your coffee that way.)

No more so than other coffee makers. Although I'm not exactly sure what you mean by unhealthy.

French press coffee is unfiltered. Studies suggest that french press coffee can raise LDL (bad) cholesterol because the coffee oils are allowed to remain in the coffee. Here are two articles, a long one and a short one.
