Which is the better way to boil a cup of water for green tea?!

Question:

Which is the better way to boil a cup of water for green tea?

ok i want to start drinking green tea and i have done it a couple of times but as i have read on the label and it says to boil a cup of water then pour it over the tea bag (b/c i don't drink the one out of the bottle) but what i have been doing is instead of boiling water over the stove b/c i don't have a tea kettle and i know you can do it other ways, but i have found that putting a cut of water in the microwave and heating it for about 2 min the most is also like boiling correct? my question is does it matter where the hot water comes from, wether it be from the stove or microwave, it will work just the same?

i use a kettle. One thing about green tea is to follow the instructions on the tea bag, but most green teas require very hot water, and not boiling water. The green teas I have drank require steeping times of 3-4 minutes..But I usually steep in for about 2 - 2.5 minutes. You're almost experimenting in the beginning because then you'll know what tastes best...good luck from a tea fan

kettle,or stove top I wouldn't use the microwave.

Yes it works the same. Don't cook the teabag in the microwave, though... just the water.

It depends on what temperature you would perfer.
boiling water takes time and it gets really hot.
microwaving it doesnt takes but more than a minute and you can make it any temperature you like.
i like to microwave it.
