Is there acid in pepsi?!

Question:

Is there acid in pepsi?

because i saw a thing where they put a screw in a tub of pepsi and it was goen in the morning

Answers:
yes, it's very acidic... pH of 2.5

wine has comparable acid content. The acid gives things a "bite" but the sugar in Pepsi (or Coke) hides the tartness and bite, although the fizz kinda makes it bite as well.

The link below talks about acids in various drinks. kinda interesting.

that's true.
Pepsi has like a PH of 3 so it's very acidic.

there is acid in alost all food items

yes, of course there is. less acid than in coke, but it is still incredibly acidic. l don't know about the screw thing, but for my middleschool science experiment our teacher but a bone of marrow into some coke and a week later it has dissolved and it was all rotting. pepsi is just the same!

yes thats why to much soda is bad

There is acid in almost everything, even paper.

I believe that phosphoric acid is in all cola drinks

There is no acid in pepsi because the color is a dark color and acid is very light, so that makes pepsi a base substance.

yes there is it will desolve a tooth

there is carbonic acid in most sodas. it makes it bubble.
