Can you use soy milk when making lattes, cappucinos, mochas?!

Question:

Can you use soy milk when making lattes, cappucinos, mochas?

instead of cows milk can i use soy milk? will it make good foam like cows milk? which "milk" do you prefer?
thanks!!!

Answers:
Sure. Use the same recipes you always would and sub. for milk. The foam is not as frothy but it is similar to real milk. Try the "Silk" brand. It's also good because you can buy it in flavors too.

Used to work at coffee shop.

yes you can. go to just about any coffee house and they will give you soy milk instead of milk.

i prefer cow's milk.

You can use soy milk in any coffee drinks, however it does not make good foam.

SURE CAN! u can use whatever you like. All coffeehouses will accomodate you w/ about whatever you want. Everyone has different tastes. Differences is what makes the world go round! GO FOR IT!

u could try soy or even rice milk, or skim, 1%, 2%, whole, 1/2 & 1/2 of any of those --mix it up!

Sure it just tastes different.

Yes. I prefer soy. Yummy

i cannot drink cow's milk, so soy is the substitution of choice. it is not as rich, but tastes just fine. look in specialty health food stores for soy creamers.

When working in a coffee shop i was once asked to make a weak, decaf, unsweetened, soy latte. I nearly asked the cumtomer if she would prefer a cup of hot water with some lemon in it, and a lie down in a dark room. In conclusion soy milk does not make as good foam as cows milk. So i'm sorry to that cutomer but the 'foam' on top of your latte, was not milk!

Yes, of course! Here's a great idea: go on recipezaar.com, and look up the De-White-ful Chocolate Latte. Prepare it using vanilla soymilk, and exclude the vanilla extract. There you go! Healthy, and delicious!
