Does Tyson chicken smell worse than other brands?
I bought some chicken that was reduced to sell quick, but when I actually opened it the smell was slightly fishy/reminded me of the stuff we used in biology class (not formalidhyde, the other chemical). I don't necc. think it was strong enough to mean that it was bad, but I can't be certain. Maybe it is the brand?
Answers:
fresh chicken should not smell like anything. If there is an odor, it's usually not pleasant. If you can, tell your grocer about it and return it. They shouldn't be selling bad meat..you might get your money back or a replacement.
also, don't risk getting sick by cooking rotten chicken.
it would have been old probably
Look at the meat. Does it look rancid? If not then boil it to ensure that it's not infected. Or throw it away. Salmonella poisoning is not something you want to experience.
No way.. This chicken has gone bad. It should have no smell to it, only when it's bad it smells.
I eat that brand alot. If it very bad, throw it out, and if you've already eaten it, please go to a docter and make sure you don't have anything bad, because if you have anything, it'd be alot cheaper and less painful if you did it know before it spread. It should have a faint fish-like smell when you open it, not a rancid big smell.
