First - we become more tolerant of strong tastes.
Second - we appreciate the stimulation as we get busier.
Third - caffeine is literally an addictive drug.
(Really - try giving up coffee after having a few cups a day for a couple of weeks -you get headaches!)

I, myself, do not like coffee. It smells divine and tastes nothing like this.
People who like more and more coffee are addicted to caffeine. It has nothing to do with age, it can happen to anyone, any age. A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that when some regular coffee drinkers are suddenly deprived of their morning fix, they suffer from headaches, fatigue and depression and are unable to function at their usual level of efficiency.
Moderate use of coffee, tea or soft drinks with caffeine is not harmful to most of people, but caffeine can make you shaky, raise blood pressure, cause irregular heart beats or interfere with sleep.
Dependence develops with tolerance to effects and psychological need for ritual, such as morning coffee. Abstinence syndrome can begin within 18 hours of last dose. This can bring on symptoms such as anxiety, nausea, lethargy, muscle tension, headache, constipation, and inability to think clearly.

FOR THE CAFFEINE RUSH OF COURSE! It makes doing work & other mundane things seem to progress faster. I like mine very hot w/lots of milk & sugar. Yum!

Yer tired decrepit run down over worked slowing down body needs the help to try and keep up with the youth it is used to being
