Have u seen the label on coke 500ml bottles?!

Question:

Have u seen the label on coke 500ml bottles?

It gives the salt and sugar and all that anyway it gives it for 250ml the suger happens to be 25%. So for a whole bottle its 50%. No doubt many people will glance and think its for the whole bottle. so whats the point of these new labels if companys are going to give half measures, if you dnt do the maths or dnt read the small print your gonna think its lower suger exactly what the companys want.

Yep, that's exactly what they want. They are hoping people are too busy or don't care enough to pay close attention. They should just be up front and list it right in amounts per the whole bottle. Thanks for pointing this out, I may of been one of the too busy people to pay attention.

well spotted

Because 250ml is the amount of coke that fits into an average sized glass, besides if people are so dumb that they cant calculate that 250ml is half a 500ml bottle then they're too stupid to live.

I love it when people prove my point.

yeah but in mexico

a lot of food labels have this, they expect that we r gonna not read it, but as an informed shopper/eater u have to just b aware this happens and do the math. its easy to sabotage a low cal diet with drinks n sodas cuz a lot of people dont think about the calories.

They give the nutritional values for one serving. No one should be drinking 500ml of soda at a time. In fact, soda is junk food and such a waste of calories with NO nutritional value. No wonder people get fat and lazy, putting that stuff in their body.

YOU ARE SO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT WILL ALWAYS be 25% REGARDLESS OF WHAT SIZE BOTTLE YOU ARE DRINKING.
Percentage is ratio, not an amount to be added together.....!

Ur right about companys tho, they are usually swindling capitalists who will do anything to get their products flying off the shelves.

actually he is right. im from uk and yesterfay i had a bottle of coke and noticed what it said, 250ml gives 25% of your reccomended daily intake of sugar therfore 500ml gives 50%, which is so much more than i ever thought!! diet coke from now on or coke zero!

no not yet,,

We have the same problem in the US. They sell a 12 oz Coke, but that is actually 2.5 servings. Who puts half of a Coke in the fridge?
