Question:

Is it ok to drink water that has been through a soft water conditioner.?

Answers:
if it removes chlorine - you bet - go for it!

just make sure to take a multivitamin - to get your trace minerals

yes, but is softened with sodium. so...unless you have an excess of sodium it should be fine for you.

yes but tastes like **** !!!!!!!!!!!

it is safe to drink this water, but it tastes flat.

My parents had a water softener from the time I was little and I never developed any problems from drinking it. However, when someone came over, they would comment on the fact that the water tasted "odd". So if you don't like the taste, just run it through a water filter like Brita or Pur. That will remove the excess sodium and you shouldn't notice a taste difference.
Also be careful if you have an automatic ice maker, the sodium will build up on the water line in the machine, and it will eventually corrode it to a point it must be replaced.

For most people yes, for those on sodium restricted diets, no. Notice I said sodium? There is not much SALT in soft water, but the sodium level is elevated. In most homes, if you drink the soft water, it will increase your sodium intake less than eating a piece of cake made with baking soda. That is a good guide - if you can't eat cake or saltine crackers because of sodium, get a reverse osmosis system or get a name brand bottled water.
