How long can coffee sit in pot before going bad?!

Question:

How long can coffee sit in pot before going bad?

Answers:
if you've brewed really good coffee, then to me it would be stale after sitting on the burner for 1-1.5 hrs. to maintain the freshness after brewing I always transfer the coffee to an insulated carafe. Coffee really tastes burnt after sitting on the burner any longer than that.

Years of drinking coffee.

Maybe 3 days - especially if it's relatively cool in the home or in the winter. If its closer to the Spring and Summer months I wouldn't leave it for more than 2 days. That's just me - not an expert!

I'm sure any unused coffee can always be refrigerated to prolong tossing it!

I always make a pot of coffee ahead of time and leave it out then reheat it cup by cup in the microwave.

I have left coffee out for 2-3 days, and it is still good.

24hrs, after that it starts to grow mildew

I'm really picky about coffee, I won't drink it if it's more than 30 minutes old. Then that's pushing it. I'll make half pots at a time.

Depends. If its warming, it burns after about 3 hours. If its off, throw it out after about 6 hours.

20 minutes... after that it's stale..
