Why is it people name their favorite Kool Aid flavors by the color.?!

Question:

Why is it people name their favorite Kool Aid flavors by the color.?

According to you all their is no such thing as cherry kool aid, it's RED. WHY!!!!

Answers:
I dont know, i think its just black people (im black by the way). But i know my dad is always like "make sum yella Kool-Aide son!" when its just as easy to say lemonade.

because there is no fruit in it all colors and sugar.

Maybe because Kool Aid is so artificially flavored that even though it may have a flavor listed, in reality it tastes nothing like whatever fruit it is intended to imitate. It is more descriptive to just say the color because at least that isn't up for debate.

taste is a hard thing to explain. think about it. when you eat you explain the taste of the food with another food you ate before.

I don't call it by anything but I would guess people do that because it is just sugar water and doesn't really taste like the flavor it is suppose to be. So no one really knows if "Red" was really cherry or strawberry or rasberry ect.

I've always named them by flavor the and there's more than just one red kool aid there's fruit punch and strawberry in addition to cherry so naming them by color could be confusing. My best guess would be it's a kid thing my 7 y/o names them by color and maybe those who do the same are really just childish.

because its easier that way

its just a matter of fact man. deal with it.

Because thats what we called it as kids!

I would have to say my favorite is PURPLE!

Some tend 2 forget which pack they bought-fruit punch, cherry, or raspberry...so they'll just say fix some red kool aid...not being specific just saying any kind of red drink. Do u seriously think that someone can taste the difference n kool-aid...I kno I can't and I've been drinking it all my life...my mom could make me orange kool-aid and I'd think that it's yellow or green so it really doesnt matter!!!

that gets on my nerves. mmmm... tastes like red

Koolaid is horrible...too much sugar!
