i dont' think tea leaves are supposed to be eaten, but if you did accidentally eat them, I think they would go right through your system like anything not edible, like sticks or dirt and you might get a tummy ache. don't worry too much.

Consuming tea leaves is not dangerous at all, plenty of people (at least ones I know) have tried eating the leaves after making loose leaf tea. It just isn't always the tastiest thing to do
