What should you do if an old person you're caring for trips over a rug?
Answers:
Pick em up and remove the rug.
Call someone if they are hurt. Otherwise help them up!
Help him up
WHat??? Laugh dude!!
Don't laugh, they don't like that
Remove the rug! Call a doctor and get them checked over.
help them up check for damage ask if any pains, also get some double sided tape so you can temporarily adhere rug to floor.
That all depends. Do you have a good spot to dispose of the body?
Give them more water with it next time...
Help them up then get rid of the rug
If there hurt call the doctor or ambulance. If there alright help them up then sit them on a chair & make a nice cup of tea.
Call 911.
get them checked out at their GP surgery for fractured/broken bones. He will be happy to refer you to an occupational therapist for advice on safety in the home.
Be very careful and make sure you "HOOVER AROUND THEM"!
the same you would do for yourself. pay attention to them watch for signs of broken bones or sever bruising if they are in alot of pain where otc pain relievers aren't enough seek medical attention.
Have them checked out, then get rid of that rug. If they want you to, help them find other unsafe conditions in their home and fix them. Do with their permission only! They are adult people and have a right to their privacy.
If you are a careworker then you need to report it to your supervisor and it's got to go into an accident book. Also, have the injured person checked out by a doctor just to make sure he/she is not hurt. Old people can hurt themselves easily and it takes them longer to heal.
Try not to laugh, establish how badly hurt they are (e.g. probably not a good idea to move them if they broke a bone)......... help them up, call the Doctor (or an ambulance, depending how bad it is).
Shift the rug out of the way to avoid a repeat, at least until you can get hold of some of this stuff from Lakeland Limited to secure the damn thing in place: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/s...
from reading the other questions u posted u dont sound like ur responsible enough to be caring for someone else. quit mistreating the elderly and pay attn to ur job of caring for them.
