How are surgar suclptures made?!

Question:

How are surgar suclptures made?

Answers:
There are couple of ways to make them, but to start, you have to heat a mixture of sugar and coloring to a high temperature, either a soft crack or a hard crack. These are terms used in candy making, and I am sorry I am not more specific, but it has been awhile since I made anything out of sugar. From there you can mold the sugar into specific shapes, or you can cool it off a bit, stretch it,, and roll it into shapes, or blow it like they do in glass making. Once all the individual pieces are formed, they are then assembled using a variety of different tools. I've seen chefs use anything from blow torches to hair dryers. I know this isn't specific, but I hope it gives you a general idea.

very much as doing sugar flowers in cakes, some use blow torch for extra effects and welding parts together

This was one of the few things i could find on sugar sculpting its kinda a rough overview of the different types of sculpting you can do with sugar, sorry it wasnt more helpfull. .. . :)
