How to prepare best yerba mate drink?

Do you rinse yerba with cold water, before you place it into cup and fill the cup with 70 degree Celsius water? I don't have bombilla, so before drinking i strain it. Is it ok? Maybe You have your own way of preparing yerba?


Answers:
You can make it like regular tea, like you say, and then strain it. Yes! You don't really need the bombilla!
