Why do English people drink so much tea?
Answers:
Dear you,
You know tea is of Asian origin, do you remember that Great Britain was occupying India some years back? I think I read once that her Majesty enjoyed tea, she thought it was exotic, and British people love doing whatever the queen does, specially at that time, where it was considered as a sign of good taste or they thought they would be considered as high class people!! So they kept imitating until that became a tradition and some kind of trade mark...
This is only theory...
It's a tradition and it tastes good!
It's a cultural tradition and habit. same reason americans eat so much McDonalds.
Cause they like it prolly...
Its prolly some kind of tradition there!
I'm WELSH and I drink GALLONS of it, OOOH Tetley.
its what they do its their history and in their families
Americans eat too man big macs..its in their culture
(ha..see..I'm not the only one with the same theory)
Because they are stupid.
Well.. I have a better question for you, answer this question why do americans take foreigners that have eaten american food to mcdonalds so they think all american food is greasy and bad for you.
check and mate.
that's a good question
just because
trust me I've asked 16 of my brittish friends
That's their tradition and it makes them feel good. I'm sure that you have your own tradition that you quite enjoy.
Because just like Coke is a poular drink in the United States tea is popular in England.
Because it tastes so good, deary.
Sorry to disappoint you. But statistically they English people drink more coffee .
some people drink it as a social thing... some people drink it because it has caffine in it which makes it addictive... and some people drink it because they just like the taste i guess...
I dont know might be because they are addicted to tea .:
