What is the latest on energy drinks? Are they very bad for you?!

Question:

What is the latest on energy drinks? Are they very bad for you?

I like the occasional V or Red Bull. Are they harmful? I like them for long trips when I'm driving - they don't go cold like coffee and they really help me to stay alert. I would never have more than 3 in a day.

Answers:
They're no worse for you than any other heavily caffeinated beverage.

They have too much sugar in them.

They arent good for you....

But a starbucks caramel frapuccino usually does it for me...

they're only harmful if you are addicted to them. As you know, they have 3 or 4 times the caffeine in them, and are loaded with sugar which keeps people alert. But often times, after the effects wear off, people either get really tired or need another jolt. So this could possibly be harmful to someone in their own circumstance. Just don't rely on them to be alert. Try good ol water for a change. Good luck.

Most of all the "Energy Drinks" that are on the market contain very high amounts of sugar and caffeine, which are really bad for you.

I drink an energy drink that would be perfect for your situation. It comes in a powder form, so you can mix it with 8 oz. of water or other beverage. It works in 5-10 minutes, lasts for several hours, and it is much cheaper than the other energy drinks. I usually only drink 1 per day due to the fact that it lasts SEVERAL hours, but you could drink 2 if you want.

It gives you energy, alertness, and most important, it is HEALTHY for you.

You can find them at www.carlshealthhelp.com/energy

They are a temp high.....try protein and complex carbo foods like cheese on whole wheat....stay away from sugars and caffeine as they are short acting then you crash. B Vits help too.
