My experience has always been to just be polite yet honest. One of my best friends is a bi female who used to hit on me more than i cared for. I simply told her " I really like you as a friend, and if i were bi or les i'd be interested .... but to be honest i'm straight. could you PLEASE stop hitting on me?" i guess some people take it better than other.
