Why is canned water not available from vending machines ?
Is it because the water would take on the taste of the can,and if so how much difference is there in canned and bottled sodas?
Answers:
Canned water does not appeal to consumers, they are more likely to enjoy water in a bottle so they see how clear and refreshing it looks.
I don't know, I'd imagine the canned water is nasty and I don't see who would drink that. Soda wouldn't be as bad because the sugars cover the aluminum taste. We have a vending machine here at work w/ tiny bottled waters in it instead of cans. They serve the purpose.
In Europe you often find cans of Perrier (sparkling water)...
I've seen canned water. Where do you live?
That is a very interesting question, one I had never thought of. Why don't you contact Absopure or one of the other water companies and ask them? I bet is does have something to do with the taste of tin. Maybe the other things that are in cans have enough of a taste to mask the taste of tin, where as water doesn't.
I have never seen canned water, but it seems to me like it would taste worst than tap water, and tap water is horrible!
Canning costs more then bottling so from a business stand point it's all economics
I've seen canned water. Mostly sparkling and soda water, but I've also seen normal canned water.
I only buy the canned soda water, because the cans of normal water are too small and too expensive compared to bottled (and definitely compared to tap) water.
Personally, I think that soda tastes better out of a can.
What would be the purpose of canned water Vs. PET or plastic bottled water? Can leave a nasty taste in the water or anything that they come into contact with.
you answer is my choice ,,i agree with you
its cheaper to make a plastic bottle and i'm sure they would have to line the inside of a can to protect the taste. good question...i've never really thought about that...
